Boss Guide
The following guide is constructed from my own experiences and is reliant on memory. My recommendations are fairly conservative, playing properly with the listed configurations should generally avoid deaths. Yes, it is often possible to defeat listed bosses with less than stated below, and obviously not all players play at the same standard. This guide is for our guild and has not been posted elsewhere.
Fight Types:
Linear Fights (Basic):
In such fights bosses attack only the tank, the only dangerous effects here are raw damage.
AoE (Area of Effect) Orientated Fights:
In such fights, bosses cast a powerful AOE.
-Players at melee WILL be hit by AOE (MELEE)
-Players at maximum range of the boss/melee characters WILL be hit by AOE (RANGE)
-Players at maximum range (healing) of ranged character (at their max) WILL NOT be hit by AOE (RANGE+RANGE)
It is recommended that only essential players that have their own dedicated healer assigned to them participate in AOE fights.
Debuff Fights:
In such fights bosses will apply a dangerous debuff to the tank, dangerous individual debuffs and their effects will be noted below.
Tanking level abbreviations:
Possible: May be successful with some difficulty
Recommended: Should be acheived without significant difficulty
Difficulty Ratings
Listed beside the name for each boss is a difficulty rating ranging from + (easiest), to +++++ (hardest)
39-46
Gouf, Aerox Chief ++
Fight: Linear
Possible: 50+ Barbarian, extra healing necessary
Recommended: 60+ Barbarian
Healing: 40+ cleric(s)
Damage type: Physical
Khewy, Rattus Lord +++
Fight: Linear
Possible: 50+ Barbarian, extra healing necessary
Recommended: 60+ Barbarian
Healing: 40+ cleric(s)
Damage type: Physical
Notes: Adds may be separated by pet-pulling or dealt with immediately at the start of the fight. Khewy is ranged and may run at some stages during the fight.
Dismal Shade ++
Fight: AoE
Possible: 50+ Barbarian
Recommended: 60+ Barbarian
Healing: 2 40+ clerics
Alternative: A 50+Arcane/60+Light wearer may tank from maximum range with a single cleric (at max range)
Damage type: Wood (damage over time effect)
Notes: (see AOE section) Fight requires planning and can rapidly get out of control. I recommend fighting with the group in the left alcove of the room.
Chin +++
Fight: AoE
Possible: 50+ Barbarian
Recommended: 60+ Barbarian
Healing: 2 40+ clerics
Alternative: A 60+Arcane/70+Light wearer may tank from maximum range with a single cleric (at max range)
Damage type: Metal
Notes: (see AOE section) Fight requires planning and can rapidly get out of control.
Suzerix, Adalwolf Elder ++
Fight: AoE
Possible: 50+ Barbarian
Recommended: 60+ Barbarian
Healing: 2 40+ clerics
Alternative: A 60+Arcane/70+Light wearer may tank from max range with a single cleric (at max range)
Damage Type: Water
Notes: (See AoE section) Fight requires planning and can rapidly get out of control.
48-50
Virridis Stormhorn ++++
Fight: AoE
Possible: 55+ Barbarian
Recommended: 65+ Barbarian
Healing: 2 50+ clerics
Damage Type: Physical on tank, AoE (type unknown)
Notes: (See AoE section) Fight requires planning and can rapidly get out of control.
Jewelscalen +++++
Fight: AoE / Debuff
Possible: 55+ Barbarian
Recommended: 65+ Barbarian
Healing: 2 50+ clerics
Damage Type: Physical on tank, AoE (type unknown)
Notes: (See AoE section) Debuff reduces tank's physical defense to 0, this must be purified immediately, when active most tanks can be 1-shotted. Fight requires planning and can rapidly get out of control. Adds may be pulled by any ranged ability.

Possible: 55+ Barbarian, extra healing necessary
Recommended: 65+ Barbarian
Healing: 1 50+ Cleric
Damage Type: Physical (ranged)
Omnipotent Drake +
Fight: Linear
Possible: 55+ Barbarian, extra healing necessary
Recommended: 65+ Barbarian
Healing: 1 50+ Cleric
Damage Type: Fire (damage over time)
Kashu +
Fight: Linear
Possible: 55+ Barbarian, extra healing necessary
Recommended: 65+ Barbarian
Healing: 1 50+ Cleric
Damage Type: Fire
Luminoc Architect +++
Fight: Linear
Possible: 55+ Barbarian, extra healing necessary
Recommended: 65+ Barbarian
Healing: 1 50+ Cleric
Damage Type: Physical
55-62
Slitt +
Fight: Linear
Possible: any 60+ character
Healing: 60+ Cleric
Damage Type: Wood (damage over time)
Notes: Slitt has a mana drain aoe, avoiding this is not needed but if deemed appropriate apply AoE ranging principles.
Mantavip Scout ++++
Fight: Aoe / Debuff
Possible: 60+ Arcane class
Recommended: 70+ Arcane class
Healing: 2 60+ Clerics
Damage Type: Water
Notes: Adds must be avoided by tanking at max range above mantavip. Clerics must heal from max range above tank. Debuff reduces water resistance to approx 10%, this should be removed as damage to tank significantly increases. Players neither tanking or healing should stay with the clerics (and not participate). This is a long fight, bring plenty of mana.
Kimsa +
Fight: Linear
Possible: 60+ Barbarian, extra healing necessary
Recommended: 70+ Barbarian
Healing: 60+ Cleric
Damage Type: Physical
Notes: This boss must be killed for 2 quests, to save repetition, wait until the 2nd is acquired.
Empyrean Slither +
Fight: Linear
Possible: 60+ Barbarian
Recommended: 65+ Barbarian
Healing: 55+ Cleric
Damage Type: Unknown
Notes: AoE sleep (stun-like) effect.
Krimson +++++
Fight: Debuff / AoE (special)
Recommended: 70+ Barbarian
Healing: 2 60+ Clerics (moderate-high level purify)
Damage Type: Physical / Metal
Notes: AoE operates at moderate range in front of Krimson (players at range unaffected), short range behind Krimson (melee affected). No players other than the tank should be in AoE, this is easy for non-melee to avoid. Debuff must be purified urgently as metal damage accelerates rapidly once applied. Krimson likely to run briefly near the end of the fight.
Gargantakong +++
Fight: Debuff / AoE (special)
Possible: 65+ Barbarian
Recommended: 70+ Barbarian
Healing: 2 60+ Clerics
Damage Type: Physical / Unknown
Notes: AoE is only moderate range, ranged characters at maximum are unaffected. Debuff I believe is a damage amplification effect (confirmation needed).

Fight: Linear
Recommended: 60+ Barbarian
Healing: 60+ Cleric
Damage Type: Physical

Very nice guide Moon, I like all of the AoE info, maybe you could extend it to include fb bosses?

I love Anny he makes on what i think I wanted make this guide but was lazy ^^ Happens sometimes...
We just had a talk about bosses:D On some point we disagree, but its fine. The guideis perfect. Some bosses in special cases can be done by lower team requiment too, but this is the fully "perfect" team.
